Ways 2 Help

  • Use our free resources! Hang up posters and hand out flyers at school, work, church or local businesses to raise awareness and advertise Gambia Help. Let’s spread the word!
  • ‘Like’ us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. Talk about GambiaHELP in your status/tweet.
  • Add a link to GambiaHelp.org on your homepage, your blog…
  • Volunteer your time and talents. GambiaHELP needs volunteers! Email us at info@GambiaHELP.org for more information. You can make a BIG difference!!!
  • Help create awareness! Sign up to be a GambiaHELP representative within your company. Representatives help spread the word about GambiaHELP, especially during their workplace giving campaigns. Various activities can include handing out brochures, sending co-workers email, or asking to have a GambiaHELP representative make a presentation at your company.
  • Use what you’ve got! We all have an area of influence, and activities we are normally involved with. Use it as an avenue to raise money for GambiaHELP. Maybe you are a Mary Kay consultant, or throw Scentcy parties. Do an event where the profits get donated to GambiaHELP. Talk about GambiaHELP with your friends at school, youth-group, at Mother’s Day Out, clubs, community organizations, church or other group.
  • If you are a student, write your next essay or research project on Gambia. You can also ask your teachers if they would like to have someone from GambiaHELP come and talk to the students about Gambia.
  • Invite Shelby Tarutis to speak at your club, organization, school, church or community event.
  • If you really want to sink your teeth into something – organize a fundraiser for GambiaHELP. A walk-a-thon, banquet, fashion-show, theater production, concert…. be creative! Get your friends together and have fun making it happen while really making a difference in the lives of girls around the world. Every little bit helps!!! How much can you raise? Connect with us here and let us know what you’re doing!!
  • GambiaHELP is also seeking the guidance of a seasoned leader or team in the area of capacity building. We have a well-established reputation in The Gambia now, and as a result, are receiving more project requests than we can even review. We would like someone to teach us how to “get to the next level” of organizational development. Our ultimate goal is to have an organization run by Gambians in The Gambia, with leadership representation in the United States.
